HOTTEST RED CARPET TRENDS: Deepika’s Thigh-High Slit, Jacqueline & Sonam’s Sheer!
Bollywood strut down the many red carpets of several awards shows. So here's a look at award season's hottest trends as worn by Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt, Jacqueline Fernandez and others
You Wore WHAT!?
Award season fashion brings out the best (and sometimes worst) in our stars. Here's a look at the fashion trends propagated by the who's who of Bollywood.
SHEER
Sonam Kapoor was so much in love with the sheer trend that she wore gowns with sheer detailing to three different award shows.

At the Star Screen Awards she chose a voluminous Stéphane Rolland with a sheer panel at the bust.

Whereas the Elie Saab, which she wore to the Filmfare Awards, had a far bolder sheer detail.

However, this Yanina Couture at the Stardust Awards was one for the fashion books.

Jacqueline Fernandez also attended the Stardust Awards in a sheer Yanina Couture gown. It might not have been the best gown that night but its sheer, wispy feel was very romantic.

Mohenjo Daro lady Pooja Hegde looked fiercely sexy in this Ziad Nakad gown at the Stardust Awards. The sheer details at the bust, sleeves and bottom half might have seemed a lot on paper but Pooja owned the look.
THIGH-HIGH SLIT
Trust Deepika Padukone to be the trailblazer when it comes to doing the thigh high slit trend.

Granted, that Deepika's Ralph and Russo gown, worn to the Lux Golden Rose Awards, was not her best but you could not deny that that slit caught your attention.

Sunny Leone was a vision on the Stardust red carpet in her green number and high slit. She looked sexy, sweet, sassy AND comfortable all at the same time. How does she do it?

Kriti Sanon showed off some major leg on two red carpets. At Stardust she wore a shimmery strapless number from Papa Don’t Preach and for Filmfare she walked the red carpet in a black gown by Shehla Khan.
PLUNGING NECKLINE
Parched actress Surveen Chawla was really on board with the low neckline trend.
Kalki Koechlin rocked this low cut Nikhil Thampi metallic number like a boss. It had drama but still was simple and so I think really stood out on the Filmfare red carpet.

Tamannaah has had a great awards season fashionwise. At the Stardust Awards she made the plunging neckline trend her own in this patterned gown by designer Peter Langner. She kept her look fuss free with slicked back hair and small-ish accessories.

See, I told you, the deep neckline was a trend EVERYONE was rocking it.
EYE-CATCHING DETAIL
At the Filmfare Awards, Parineeti Chopra really stood out in her pink gown with the big bow.

Now the bow could have overwhelmed the look but Parineeti carried it off with class thanks, in part, to her simple styling.

At the Star Screen Awards, Deepika wore a custom made Gauri and Nainika gown with a giant and I mean GIANT flower attacking her face. It's a gown she should burn but nevertheless it became a talking point.

While walking the Stardust red carpet, Richa Chadda stunned in this gown but not in a good way. That bow-leaf detail should have taken the gown to the next level but the only place this gown went was on the worst dressed list.
ANYTHING BUT GOWNS
While the other ladies wore dramatic gowns, Anushka Sharma chose another route while attending the Stardust Awards.

Anushka teamed an asymmetrical Gaurav Gupta jacket with pants. She gave off a glamorous boss lady vibe.

At the Star Screen Awards, Alia Bhatt wore a Sachin and Babi look that was part red carpet gown and part boardroom power suit. I like it.

Radhika Apte wore an extremely streamlined Rohit Gandhi and Rahul Khanna look to the Star Screen Awards which she styled with a sleek bun. However, she added a feminine touch with an intricate choker.
