FAB OR DRAB: Aamir, Alia, Sunny, Shahid At The Dangal Success Bash
Aamir Khan hosted a party to celebrate Dangal breaking most box-office records and of course the coolest names in Bollywood showed up
You Wore WHAT!?
Everything Aamir Khan touches turns to box-office gold and
Dangal is no different. In fact, it earned so many crores, there's not enough
space in this article for all the zeroes. And naturally Aamir and team wanted
to celebrate their phenomenal success so they threw a party. Lord knows success
bashes have been thrown for lesser crores. And just like people flocked to the
theatres to catch Dangal, Bollywood too flocked to the do to congratulate Aamir
and Team Dangal.
Aamir Khan looked quite dapper in his Nehru jacket and
fitted kurta-pyjama. Also extra points for those boots and that perfectly
twirled moustache.
Kiran Rao understood the magnitude of the occasion and accordingly
brought out the big guns. She paired this simple yet rich Sabyasachi sari with
an intricate full sleeve blouse and the result was a sophisticated look.
Awww.... these two are so cute.
Alia Bhatt showed off her sexy, playful side in this Lama
Jouni dress with thigh-high slits and strappy shoulders. I'm not so big on cold
shoulders but Alia managed to pull it off. I like that she kept her hair and
make-up simple and let the dress do all the eye-catching.
However, what also caught everyone's attention was her cute 'Back
in 5 minutes' clutch. Ha! Love it.
Sunny Leone showed up in a fitted look with waist cutouts.
She looked just fine.
Shahid Kapoor walked hand-in-hand with Mira who chose a navy
blue dress for the event. Her feminine silhouette was a perfect complement to
Shahid's rugged look. PS: I want her shoes!
Could these two be more in love?
Kriti Sanon showed off her statuesque figure in glittery hot
pants and an off-shoulder top. It was casual, fun and sexy.
It's no secret that Rekha and Vidya Balan love their saris.
And by love I mean wear-them-to-the-beach love. But what are the odds that the
two ladies came to the same event in very similar saris.
Vidya wore a gold sari by Anavila and styled it with minimal
accessories and loose wavy hair.
Rekha also wore a gold and white sari but of course there
was nothing minimal about her styling. Right from her jhumkas to her glittery
nails Rekha was... well Rekha.
Oh My God! This dress is so perfect. It's a fab combination
of classy with a touch of sexy thanks to the sheer panel in the bottom half.
Dia Mirza always wears these silhouettes with such elegance. Now only if her
lipstick had a pop of colour.
Class never goes out of style and that's exactly who Lara
Dutta is - a classy AF lady. This Halston Heritage gown and Elie Saab clutch
are a great red carpet look but it's Lara's timeless elegance that adds that
extra punch.
What crawled down Harshvardhan's back? Quick question - was
he too casually dressed for the do?
Aditya Roy Kapur dressed like one of your cool, young, hip
professors. You know the kinds who is great at his job and won't report you for
low attendance.
Whenever Soha Ali Khan dons a gown she looks like the royal
she is. This Vineti Bolaki one shoulder gown with a rosette belt had a certain
old world charm to it and Soha took it a notch higher by styling her hair in a
side-swept, almost retro hairdo.
The Dangal girls - Fatima Sana Sheikh and Sanya Malhotra - showed
off their toned and tough bodies in figure hugging dresses. Looking good,
ladies. Looking good.
Aditi Rao Hydari went all black in a one shoulder bodycon
dress and I have no complaints except maybe she could have wore a better
lipstick.
Oh thank god Yami Gautam wore a bright lipstick. The dress
and the metallic shoes made quite the lovely combination and of course I love
the braided hair.
Ummm...I'm not so hot on this jumpsuit with the cutout waist
detail. But that's because I absolutely detest jumpsuits.
Is it just me or are those coloured strips on Sonali
Bendre's shirt a lot like the ones sportspeople wear. They are called Kinesiology
Tape. I know because I... googled it. Is her top having a muscle spasm?
Honestly, Juhi Chawla's ensemble is making me see red. Those
pants and that cape are just... argh! They would be more at home as upholstery
in a '80s film.
Everyone's favourite '90s crush showed up looking a little
scruffy.
Everyone's favourite DJ too came to the party.
