The 5-day-long fashion extravaganza came to a sparkling end last night, with Jacqueline Fernandez and Aditya Roy Kapoor walking the ramp for the grand finale. Here’s a complete recap of the fashion week and our pick of who was the best and worst dressed at the event through the 5 days...
I surely missed
Kareena Kapoor sashaying down the ramp like a queen at the grand finale of
Lakme Fashion Week. Stepping into her shoes was Jacqueline Fernandez who took the
runway with Aditya Roy Kapur.
Talking about
their finale wardrobe, well, I am not that impressed. No doubt Jacqueline
looked pretty in that Manish Malhotra creation, but it surely didn’t give the
‘finale’ feel. While Jacqueline wore a see through embroidered gown with a
dangerously high slit, Aditya looked dapper in a classic black suit, which had
a shimmery collar to give an edge.

appeared at the fashion week not once but twice. On day 1, she kept it casual
and flirty in a floral Ritu Kumar ensemble, with her dense bangs. And
yesterday, for the finale, she wore a sexy number by Manish Malhotra- a
collared dazzling dress which she carried off like a boss.

Malaika Arora
was a bit disappointing this time. Maybe the sultry actress has set the
standards so high that each time she takes the runway, I expect something
extraordinary from her. She sizzled on the ramp in a red hot jumpsuit by Riddhi
Mehra. The look was not bad, and that’s my problem, as I said, with Malaika you
always want a ten on ten- and this was just good!

Sushant Singh
Rajput wanted to go a bit off-track from the usual black and blues but in an
attempt to do that, he slipped on the wrong side of the track! Sushant wore a
fawn coloured suede suit with loafers. He teamed the suit with a plain white
tee and accessorized the suit with a flashy pin. Although Sushant could carry
the look well yet he could have opted for something better.

Meet the guy who
knows no boundaries when it comes to experimenting- a flashy rainbow jacket
screaming for attention! Would you ever dare to wear something like this and
step out? Ranveer looked fab but if I had to rate him on the jacket and it’s
utility value, well, I guess it was way too loud. I am confused to put him in
the best or worst category! What do you say?
