Last night, a few
Bollywood celebs attended the Star Screen Awards 2018 with only Salman
Khan, Varun Dhawan, Irrfan, Rajkummar Rao and Vidya Balan making it to the
awards night among a few others.
The show was also
quite low on fashion quotient. It’s probably one of the most disastrous red
carpets I have seen in the recent times.
Vidya Balan,
Madhuri Dixit, Daisy Shah, Diana Penty were a big disappointment with only
Kriti Sanon, Neha Dhupia and Bhumi Pednekar keeping a bit of style alive in
them.
Vidya Balan, who
I really admire for her elegant drapes, chose a very wrong and flashy saree for
the do. Her hair style further made it worse for the talented actress. How I
wish Vidya would have picked nice classy cotton saree in which she always
stands out. Madhuri Dixit also chose a completely wrong colour and drape. This
really looks like some ‘90s wedding scene to me!
Daisy and Diana
both chose shimmery gowns as their wardrobe for the night. While Diana’s
hair-do and colour still stood out, the texture and cut of the gown is
something we have seen over the time. Ditto for Daisy.
Thankfully the
men were high on fashion especially Varun Dhawan and Irrfan.
