Ayesha Nair checks in on the stylish and not-so-stylish men of Bollywood
Since I’ve been writing this column which is not exactly since the dawn of time, more like the dawn of a month Ive had my editor insist that I write more about men. Did I mention hes a guy?
So heres my attempt at saving my job a column on the fashion choices of the men in Bollywood.
This is a look at what the men of Bollywood wore for the wedding reception of Tulsi Kumar and Hitesh Ralhan held earlier this week.
That, right there is class, style and elegance all in one photo.
Sadly, the photo does not do justice to how dapper Arjun Rampal looked. I played the footage over and over again for research purposes, of course and he looked great. Special shout-out to the skinny tie.
Anil Kapoor is not aging gracefully and thats because hes not ageing at all. I mean, sure the pants could have fit better but his scruffy look with the loosened tie gives out a chilled out vibe that makes him seem so much younger.
Like seriously, he could pass off as Arjuns older cousin or like a cool friend who explained to him the birds and bees using a pencil and eraser.
Im glad Arjun picked a burgundy suit. So much better than the same old black or grey suit.
“Waiter, theres a Tiger in my soup!”
And thats how you rock the life out of a three-piece suit.
Saying that Ali Fazal looks dreamy is like saying that strawberry ice cream tastes yummy. Its great to see him coming into own his style. And you can rarely go wrong with a bandhgala and Jodhpurs. Theres something slightly off about Alis style.I mean that in a good way.
Its not as quirky as Ranveer Singhs but neither it is as proper as Hrithik Roshans. Its somewhere in between and its interesting.
Dont you just love a man who can carry off a bright floral tie? I know I do.
I dont think Shekhar Ravjiani of Vishal-Shekhar gets enough credit for being a good looking guy who often dresses sharply. So, Shekhar, heres me giving you credit. It also helps that you are super talented.
Imagine the money spent on detergent and bleach in the Burmawalla household. Do the brothers fight if the other borrows their clothes? How do they even know who has borrowed whose clothes? Does their wardrobe have no other colour? Do they take time deciding what to wear or it is an obvious choice?
Why do I have so many questions?
