Aishwarya, Kangana Rock The Couture Look
Here's the latest update from the world of Bollywood. We bet you wouldn't want to miss this. Read on for details... Ayesha Nair brings you a ramp report
You Wore WHAT!?
The Amazon India Couture Week (AICW) 2015 has come to a glorious and sequin-filled end.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan walked the ramp for buddy Manish Malhotra in a glorious wine coloured ensemble. It's amazing even though the motif looks broccoli-esque. (Or I'm just hungry) But let's talk about Aishwarya herself. Love the fact that her make-up is almost natural and the hair is in soft waves. Also, she looks like one of those portraits of royalty that you find in palaces-turned-museums.
Speaking of royalty.... Chitrangada Singh. This woman can do no wrong. Chitrangada will look good even in a dress made from garbage bags and this is couture.
Kangana Ranaut is in a 30 kg Manav Gangwani ensemble and owning it. The work on it is delicate and the colour is amazing. It's got a badass princess vibe to it.
This look on Aditi Rao Hydari is dreamy, romantic and floaty. The different shades of blue merge with each other so well, yet they manage to hold their own.
So when you don a lehenga-choli it's invariably for a family function at which, invariably, there are aunties. And those aunties would not approve of this attire. They are so not passing on your kundali to that eligible guy's mummy.
But if, by some twist of fate, they do pass on the kundali and you do end up marrying that guy, you can totally be a chill bride in a ganji and high-tops. But, seriously, this look is pretty cool. Ok, the ganji is trying too hard but the lehenga is swell (did I just use 'swell' in a sentence?) and those shoes are totally worth trying your hand at marriage.
