Not Mohit Suri's best but he is getting his form back. Needs to go back to the Bhatts to get back his ear for music. But the man has delivered something you can definitely spend your ticket on. Suri has put his heart and soul and the film turns out to be a typical Suri one in look and presentation, but the story needed more meat.

Good performances from Anil Kapoor and Kunal Kemmu. Aditya Roy Kapur surprisingly has been kept quiet for most part, he emotes fine but does not set the screen on fire. Disha Patani is passable.

The basic problem with Malang is that it has too much in it especially in the first half and at various points, tends to get hotch-potch. Also, too much action tends to make it less gripping than what a suspenseful film ought to be- too much smashing of windows, too many kicks and too much blood.

Malang would have been a better film if it had been told in a simpler way. The suspense that builds in the second half with a male-impotency track keeps you hooked and so does the unveiling of the killer. Bhaiyya, I am a sucker for whodunits. But again, too much starts to happen even in the second half.

What is no doubt outrightly praiseworthy is the film's camerawork. Unarguably, it has been shot very passionately. No, I am not talking about the kisses. You have seen them all in the trailer itself.

I am going with THREE. I wish I had a button for 2.75.
