You can walk in at the interval and you will enjoy it more than I did. Bet Luka Chuppi's captain Laxman Utekar woke up only after a few refreshments (Interval). But once he did, I don't think he even yawned. Luka Chuppi is only a 65-70 minute of total laugh-riot, but yet Paisa Vasool.
Every single frame after the break will make you ROFL. Hats off to Atul Srivastava (Kriti's father), Pankaj Tripathi (the colorful and quirky Babulal, who has a fascination for yellow), Aparshakti Khurana (Kartik's Man Friday). The lines are hilarious, the punches are crazy, the results are maddening. The film also smartly touches upon some relevant issues like election propaganda and our society's aversion to live-in relationships.
At times, Kartik's character reminded me of Amol Palekar in his hey days when he got embroiled in vortex of situations he couldn't wriggle out from. Vinay Pathak's portrayal, playing Kriti's strict father, takes you back to the days of Utpal Dutt.
