Hotel Mumbai, Movie Review: This Brilliant Anupam Kher-Dev Patel Film Arouses Extreme Anger

This is what they did to us! Bloody hell! I never wanted to think about it again as I myself had almost walked into the CST station when bullets were actually being sprayed. How I just didn't walk in at the very last minute is a story for another day.

Over to Hotel Taj now, where the terror was no less or perhaps more-or- and on which the film is based.  Anupam Kher as the Taj Chef, Hemant Oberoi, is just top-of-the-draw. When did he err, last time? My word, an ocean of talent he is.

Dev Patel is fine, but somehow has a similar expression throughout the film. Why, I could not fathom.

The film is so real that it makes hair stand up. The scenes of terror in Hotel Taj make the heart stop. The camerawork is so good that it makes the film so real that you are willing to bet your last shirt that any director other than Anthony Maras may have made a tacky presentation of the horrific attack of 26/11.

The background score adds to the film. The color backdrop fits as a T.

Will never forget the scene when Anupam opens the door to the foreigners who demand to leave. Ditto for the scene when he hugs Dev in the end. There are several unforgettable scenes but the heart has become heavy after reliving the dastardly attack. It is 26/11 today and 11 years have rolled by but it still shakes me up whenever i think of it. I culminate here and go with a FOUR.
