Zee Cine Awards 2017: Alia Bhatt & Amitabh Bachchan Crowned Best Actors

A number of celebs such as Salman Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Vidya Balan, Hrithik Roshan, Sridevi, Tiger Shroff, Raveena Tandon, Disha Patani and Dino Morea among others thronged the Jio Gardens, BKC –the venue for Zee Cine Awards last night.
It wouldn’t be incorrect to say that the evening was a memorable one, for it was replete with several stand-out moments. To begin with, Kareena gave her first on-stage performance since delivering Taimur. The actress gave a tribute to the Khans and grooved to the medley of their super hit numbers. Alia Bhatt, who bagged the award for the Best Actress, gave a heart-warming tribute to Karan Johar. The filmmaker recently became a father to twins – Yash and Roohi – and Alia had taken to social media to say that her ‘siblings’ had arrived.

Furthermore, Alia had a great 2016 with her performances in Udta Punjab, Kapoor & Sons and Dear Zindagi getting her immense praise from all quarters. The actress also bagged the SpotboyE Salaam for Best Actor, Critics (Female) for her performance in Udta Punjab. Amitabh Bachchan too won the Best Actor, Critics (Male) for her hard-hitting portrayal of a lawyer in Pink.
Coming back to Zee Cine Awards, Salman made a grand entry and left audiences enthralled with his performance. He danced to Hangover and Baby Ko Bass Pasand Hai among others.
