Zayed Khan On Father Sanjay Khan’s Alleged Affair With Zeenat Aman: ‘It Wasn’t Just At My Dad’s House But Was Happening In Every Actor’s House’

Main Hoon Na fame Zayed Khan has been opening up about anecdotes from his personal and professional life. During a recent interview with Zoom, he opened up about his father Sanjay Khan’s much-talked-about alleged affair with veteran actress Zeenat Aman. Opening up about the time when their rumoured romance made the headlines, he called the period ‘carefree’ and stated that Bollywood in the ‘70s and ‘80s was the “Wild Wild West.”
When asked about the reports of the extramarital affair causing turmoil in their house, Zayed revealed that the situation was happening in every actor’s house at the time. Quoted by Indian Express, he said, “It wasn’t just at my dad’s house but was happening in every actor’s house. Every person was highly eccentric except one or two oddballs who were really sincere and grounded; the rest of them… phew! When I was young, I used to see these guys partying and dressing up in those jazzy Versace shirts and their things. It was a whole different era back then. For those who don’t know, it was widely rumoured that Khan and Aman were in a romantic relationship despite being married to Zarine Khan at the time. Their relationship was an open secret that was highly publicised in gossip magazines. It was reported that the actor has physically abused the Hare Raam Hare Krishna actress. It is to be noted that Sanjay and Zarine tied the knot in 1966 when she was 20 and he was 25. They are proud parents of four kids: Farah Khan Ali, Simone Arora, Sussanne Khan, and Zayed Khan.
For the unversed, Zeenat Aman made her debut with The Evil Within, alongside veteran actor Dev Anand. She made a mark for herself in the industry because of her ground-breaking performances in movies like Hare Rama Hare Krishna, Yaadon Ki Baaraat, Roti Kapada Aur Makaan, Don, Satyam Shivam Sundaram, Qurbani, Dharam Veer, Dostana and many others. She will be next seen in Manish Malhotra’s Bun Tikki alongside Shabana Azmi and Abhay Deol.
