Bollywood actress Zareen Khan made a name for herself in the entertainment industry with blockbuster movies like Ready, Housefull 2, Aksar 2 and Hate Story 3. Having made her debut with Salman Khan’s Veer in 2010, she failed to impress the audience with her acting performances and was dubbed as a ‘Katrina Kaif look-alike’. Over the years, she has garnered a huge fan following as she has been an inspiration to women struggling with body positivity. She recently made the headlines for landing into legal trouble.
As per various media reports, a Kolkata court recently issued an arrest warrant against Zareen in a 2018 cheating case after she repeatedly failed to appear before the court. According to a report by BollywoodShaadis, an event management company had filed a case against the actress for failing to attend 6 Kali puja programs in Kolkata and missing over 24 Parganas in West Bengal. After the charge sheet was filed, she was asked to appear before the Sealdah court in Kolkata. Reacting to the news, the 36-year-old actress expressed her shock and revealed that she has no clarity on the matter. She will only be able to comment on the news after talking to her lawyer. Quoted by the portal, she told India Today, “I am sure there is no truth to this. I am suprised too and am checking with my lawyer. Only then will I be able to give you some clarity. Shedding more light on the matter, the entertainment portal further states that according to the police, the 36-year-old actress didn’t appear for questioning back then. Zareen had herself explained how she was cheated by the event management company as they had told her that the events would be attended by renowned ministers. However, it turned out to be a small event in North Kolkata.
For the unversed, after making her debut in Bollywood with Salman Khan starrer Veer, Zareen was also seen in movies like Ready, Housefull 2, Aksar 2 and Hate Story 3. She ventured into not only the Punjabi industry but also Tamil and Telugu industry, where she flourished due to her acting prowess. In 2018, she was seen hosting MTV Troll Police.
