This is what the producers of Zaira Wasim’s upcoming film The Sky Is Pink and the director of her debut film, Dangal, have to say about Zaira’s decision of quitting Bollywood
Zaira Wasim has quit Bollywood. The Dangal actress took to
social media to inform her fans about the same. Since her big announcement, the
actress has been receiving mixed reactions.
While Zaira will be seen in Priyanka Chopra and Farhan Akhtar starrer
The Sky Is Pink, the makers of the movie have given their reaction on her
decision.
The producers of Roy Kapoor Films issued a statement to PTI, giving their reaction. The statement read, “Zaira is an exceptional artiste and we are lucky to have had her play Aisha Chaudhury in our film, 'The Sky Is Pink'. She has been a complete professional all through the shoot of the film, which concluded earlier this month. This is a purely personal decision, which she has taken after much thought and we will be supportive of her in every way - now and always.”
Zaira’s Dangal director, Nitesh Tiwari has also responded to the news. He says, “I read about it in this afternoon, and it came as a shock to me. This was unexpected, but at the end of the day, it is her life and she has the right to lead it the way she [deems fit]."
