Zaira Wasim Quits Bollywood: New Video Suggests Zaira Was Shamed. Dangal Girl Forced To Write Radical Facebook Post?

Zaira Wasim’s decision of withdrawing herself from movie has made headlines and how. On Sunday morning, the actress, who made her debut with Aamir Khan’s Dangal, had taken to social media to announce that she has decided to resign from films. Soon after her shocking statement, the opinions were divided into two. Now, a new video has emerged from Times Now’s newsroom, where the reporter and the anchor can be seen revealing that the actress was forced to write resignation post on social media.

The 6-minute-long video sees Zaira Wasim and 9-year-old Kickboxer Tajamul Islam, who has represented India at World Kickboxing Championship, being shamed. In the video, an Islamist named Abid Salafi said that Zaira and Tajamul are a shame for Kashmiri people because they are not following the line of Islam. The radical goes on to say that girls shouldn’t act in Bollywood and other professions that bring shame to Islam. Salafi not only blamed the girls but also criticised their respective families. The Times Now reporter also revealed that post her debut with Aamir Khan’s Dangal, her family’s life was made miserable. They didn’t step out of their home because there was social stigma. Her father had reportedly also tried to set up her accommodation in Jammu, but due to Governor’s rule she wasn’t given the accommodation and she had to eventually come back. Now, since two-three months, she had stopped stepping out of her house. She and her parents had even stopped meeting their relatives and friends. The family members had to lock-up the front gate to their house.

After watching this video, Raveena Tandon, who had first slammed Zaira and called her “ungrateful” for quittiing the showbiz, too tweeted an apology on social media. In her tweet, she said, “If this is true and the reason for her to quit, if she was or is under pressure, then I do feel sad for the girl. Was she forced into writing the long statement by radicals out of fear? She was a role model to so many youngsters with dreams and inspirations that they could achieve.”
