Will Sacred Games 2 Go To Anurag Kashyap/Vikramaditya Motwane/Neither? Netflix Says, "Evaluating Options''
SpotboyE.com was bang on target yesterday in telling you that Sacred Games Part 2 finds itself in troubled waters after the Phantom boys dissolved their company
We broke the story to you last night that Sacred Games 2 might not go to Anurag Kashyap, Neeraj Ghayawan (Masaan director) and Vikramaditya Motwane because Phantom has now broken up and the partners have gone separate ways, clearly stating that they will work individually from here on. We had heard that the senior management of Netflix had called for a meeting in LA after hearing about the dissolution of Phantom.
Phantom Boys were seldom on the same page since the longest time. We had also told you that Anurag and Vikramaditya did not field many interviews together when Sacred Games was about to go online, Anurag had paired up with Nawaz while Motwane went talking about it solo. It was evident that Anurag and Motwane were not a happy team together. And then there was the Vikas Bahl sex scandal, which had rightfully disturbed Anurag no end and made him stop talking to Bahl altogether. The forth partner Madhu Mantena's recent split with his wife Masaba Gupta only added to the woes of the running of the company, Madhu had stopped reporting to office ever since Masaba walked out on him to stay with her mother Neena Gupta. In the wake of all this, in fact so much, we decided to talk to Netflix on what is their POA (plan of action) for Sacred Games 2.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui In Sacred Games
We sent them a mail, which read along the lines: Now that Phantom has been dissolved, please let us know who will direct Sacred Games 2, will you go with Anurag and Neeraj (as directors) and Motwane (as showrunner) as announced earlier. What are the new dynamics? Netflix promptly sent us a response, via its spokesperson, which suggested that they are debating on Anurag, Neeraj and Motwane now. The reply read: At this time, we are evaluating options on the path forward." This made us then ask: Is Sacred Games 2 going to happen? Netflix did not shy away from replying, saying: "This is all Netflix has to share at the moment." Fine, so our breaking story of last night stands validated.
All said and done, it is a very sad moment in the digital world if Sacred Games 2 does not happen. Or, has Netflix already started inviting other production houses to pitch in? We also feel sad for Anurag- who put his sweat, toil and labour to make Sacred Games Part 1 into a big success, if in case he does not get to direct Sacred Games Part 2.
