Will Nayanthara Steal The Thunder From Sonam Kapoor? Find Out Inside
Nayanthara's tamil version of Ahn Sang-hoon’s Korean 2011 thriller Blind is getting great reviews. Sonam Kapoor has also been finalised by Sujoy Ghosh for the Bollywood version of the same. Will Nayanthara's performance make it tough for the Kapoor girl to stand out?
Tamil cinema’s ‘Lady Superstar' is back at it again. Showing the boys what a girl is capable of. In her latest author-backed avatar, Nayanthara is back in full form. In Netrikann which began streaming on Disney-Hotstar on 13 August, she plays a blind girl dodging a vicious serial killer.
The taut thriller is an adaptation of Ahn Sang-hoon’s Korean 2011 thriller Blind and Nayanthara gives a ceiling-shattering performance in a role Kim Ha-neul owns in the original.
Where does that leave Sonam Kapoor who plays the same role in Sujoy Ghosh’s Blind which is adapted from the same film? This is a setback for Ghosh’s project as now the streaming platforms where Ghosh is likely to pitch his product would be wary of offering an attractive price.
Nayanthara has virtually stolen the thunder from Sonam. Unless Sujoy decides to make some major radical changes in the script marking a departure from the original.
