is all set to collaborate with Shree Narayan Singh for the third time after
Toilet: Ek Prem Katha and Batti Gul Meter Chalu for a women-centric film titled
Jasmine: Story Of A Leased Womb.

you that the two are currently in the middle of finalising the protagonists of
the venture.

has it that Shree is keen to cast Anushka Sharma for the part as he believes that she is a strong
performer.
Says a source,
“Anushka is Shree’s first choice. He will soon meet her and give her a
narration.”
We hear, the film
will be shot in Rajasthan and Gujarat. In fact, it begins with the festival of
Navratri and closes at that juncture too – life comes a full circle.

Shree shared his
excitement on being part of this exciting project. “Jasmine is the journey of a
girl to motherhood, of eternal love between a mother and a child. I have always
wanted to work on a women centric film and I’m able to do so."
The concept of
Jasmine was pitched by writers Siddharth and Garima after 3 years of research.
Shree and Prerna instantly liked it, and the script is ready to roll now. The
makers are looking at an early 2018 start for the film.

However, as
opposed to Toilet and Batti, Shree will not direct this project. His banner
Mukambika Pictures will jointly produce Jasmine with Prerna Arora.
Coming back to
Anushka’s casting, let’s see if the actress bites the bait.
