Will Amitabh Bachchan Say Yes To Play This Controversial Lawyer In His Biopic?

If the latest buzz doing the round of industry circles is to be believed, Amitabh Bachchan is likely to be roped in to play the lead role in the Ram Jethmalani biopic to be produced by Ronnie Screwvala.

The film is going to be based on the biography written by Susan Adelman titled ‘The Rebel” A Biography Of Ram Jethmalani.

It is yet to be decided who will be directing the film. One of the names that has been in running for the same is Rajkumar Gupta of No On Killed Jessica fame. It is said that Ronnie is not very keen on making this a very commercial and big project. He want to tell the saga as it was – the story of a boy, who fled for his life during Partition and became the biggest legal eagle in India, is inspirational and motivational.

While Amitabh Bachchan has been approached to play the older Jethmalani in the biopic, it is yet to be decided who will play his younger version in the film. “If Mr Bachchan is being cast as the older Jethmalani, the actor playing his younger version must be strong and powerful,” a source was quoted by DNA.
