Juhi Chawla is one of the most talented actresses in Bollywood with many blockbuster films to her credit. In the 90s, she ruled the industry with her acting prowess and charming personality. Besides her acting skills, Juhi is also known for sharing unapologetically opinions on political affairs. As we speak of this, we remember how she once took a nasty dig at the Congress government due to increased fuel prices and the falling of Indian rupee.  

Back in 2013, the Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak actress often used to make headlines for her harsh remarks on the Congress-led government. She once slammed Manmohan Singh’s government when fuel prices went sky high and the Indian rupee hit an all-time low against the US Dollar. Taking to her Twitter handle, Juhi took a dig at the Congress government and wrote, “Thank God apun ke underwear ka naam Dollar hai. Years later, Juhi Chawla came under the radar of trolls when the rupee lost its value to Dollar and stood at 81 against the US Dollar under the BJP government. She was quested by netizens over her silence and got brutally trolled on social media.

Meanwhile, Juhi made a comeback after many years with OTT show Hush Hush, which was inspired by the popular Hollywood show Big Little Lies. The web show also featured Ayesha Jhulka, Karishma Tanna, Kritika Kamra, Shahana Goswami, and Soha Ali Khan and was released on 22 September 2022 on Amazon Prime Video.
