When Emraan Hashmi and Mallika Sherawat had a big fight over their kissing scenes in Murder!
Bollywood actor Emraan Hashmi started his career by appearing in bold movies and earned the tag of a 'serial kisser' owing to his passionate onscreen kisses. Among his erotic thriller, Anurag Basu’s rom-com Murder made Emraan an overnight sensation. The actor shared many intimate and lip-locking scenes with Mallika Sherawat in the film. Their piping hot onscreen chemistry set the tongues wagging back then. But did you know Emraan and Mallika got into an ugly spat with each other post the film’s release?
Reportedly, both the actors share ice-cold vibes with each other and never leave a chance to take a jibe at one other. Their cold war started after Emraan made some controversial statements against Mallika on the chat show ‘Koffee With Karan.’ When the host Karan Johar asked Hashmi to name the best and the worst on-screen kisses he had. Surprisingly, the Jannat actor said his worst on-screen kiss was with his Murder co-star, Mallika, while he called Jacqueline Fernandez a better kisser in the film, Murder 2. Not just that, when he was further quizzed about what he would find in Mallika's bedroom. These statements of the actor angered Mallika and hence cold war started between them. In one of the interviews, the actress mentioned the snake she kissed in the film, Hisss, was a better kisser than Emraan. And, this did not end here! During the promotions of Awaarapan, the 44-year-old actor told India Forums that he hates Mallika Sherawat. On being asked to name the actress he enjoyed working with the most, he said all actresses except Mallika. Emraan was quoted saying, “All of them, except Mallika. She is a loudmouth. I hate her.”
Produced by Mukesh Bhatt, Murder which was based on the 2002 American film Unfaithful, was a hit at the box office. The film was released on 2 April 2004.
