While Priyanka Chopra is married to Nick Jonas now, in 2014, reports flashed all over the media that she has married a man from the US. It was thanks to one picture that had her with a garland
Absurd stories are all over the globe, aren't they? Today, we bring you one. Did you know, in 2014, Priyanka Chopra accidentally married a man from the US? A man named Brandon Schuster was called her husband and all this only on the basis of one picture that went viral in 2014. So Priyanka attended an event and Brandon welcomed her with a garland. Little did he know that the gesture of putting a garland on, on some girl is a sign of wedding as per Hindu rituals. Soon there was a news flash stating that Priyanka Chopra is married. Well, years after the incident, Brandon has recalled the episode.
Responding to John Legend's wife Chrissy Teigen's post talking about 1-minute fame, Brandon shared the accidental marriage story and wrote, "I got “married” to Priyanka Chopra in 2014. I put two flower leis on her to welcome her to a “green carpet” event in Tampa. Little did I know that symbolized “marriage” in Indian culture. The Indian press had a field day with it and I was giving exclusive interviews the next day." LOL. He also attached the picture with the Twitter post in which we see him and Priyanka Chopra.
He later even posted a statement clarifying that he never married Priyanka Chopra. He wrote a long post stating how he welcomed Bollywood celebrities at the event back in 2014. Check out his post below:
