Actress Urmila Matondkar has made name for herself in the entertainment industry with her versatile performances. Being one of the most sought-after actresses of her generations, she left an impact on the audiences with her several acclaimed projects like Judaai, Satya, Bhoot, and many others. One of her breakthrough movies Rangeela, co-starring Aamir Khan is till date remembered by the audiences. Well-known hairstylist Nanda, who has worked many actors, revealed that Matondkar was the most-difficult to work with.

In an interview with Bollywood Now, Nanda recalled how the 50-year-old actress made her cry during the shoot of Rangeela by criticising and pointing out all her mistakes as the actress didn’t like the hairdresser working on her. Spilling the tea on her experience, she recalled that at that time she was assisting another stylist Maria, who had asked her to work with Urmila for Rangeela’s photoshoot, which was held at the Borivali National Park, as she had a prior work commitment. 

Quoted by Pinkvilla, she recalled, “Urmila asked, ‘Where is Maria?’ I said, ‘Didi has gone for a shoot. She had to go urgently’. So she asked, ‘Is this not a shoot? Isn’t this work too?’ So I said, ‘I don’t know anything. Didi has sent me'.”

Nanda recalled that Urmila made her cry by constantly pointing out her mistakes and humiliating her. She said, “She would constantly point out mistakes because she wanted to work with Maria. She was okay with me assisting but she didn’t like that I was working on her independently. I would just stand with tears rolling down my eyes, but I never cried in front of her.” She went on to admit that she felt uncomfortable working with the actress. 


Concluding her statement, the hairstylist added that she has worked with many actors throughout her career, but she only felt uncomfortable working with Urmila. 

For those who don’t know, Ram Gopal Verma’s 1995 musical-comedy drama, Rangeela also starrered Jackie Shroff and Rreema Lagoo in pivotal roles. The film follows the journey of an aspiring actress and the hurdles she faces after a well-known actor and her childhood friend fall in love with her.
