WHAT! Prime Focus NOT CHARGING A FEE For Padmavati’s 3D?

It’s either Padmavati or Padmavati which is the current topic of discussion in Bollywood industry and trade market.

Out of a number of other reasons, one was the delay in the 3D of the film which is primarily taken care by Prime Focus. And now, we have another scoop related to the 3D version of Padmavati.

Hard to believe but buzz is strong that an interesting deal has been struck between Prime Focus and Padmavati makers.

You will be surprised to know but rumours are rife that the world’s largest independent integrated media services company is NOT CHARGING a stipulated price or a fixed amount for the 3D of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus.

So, what’s the deal?

Hearsay is that Founder, Executive Chairman and Global CEO of Prime Focus Limited, Namit Malhotra is in talks with Sanjay Leela Bhansali to take a cut from the ticket sales of the movie instead of a lump sum amount. Prime Focus has decided to charge Rs 150 on every ticket sale as their share.

Trade experts evaluate that this could easily fetch Prime Focus to the tune of Rs 7-10 crore, if the film does well.

Well, the first question which pops up in our mind is- how expensive will the tickets cost if Rs 150 will be Prime Focus’ share alone- Food for thought!
