Bollywood actor Kartik Aaryan is currently gearing up for the release of his film Chandu Champion. The Kabir Khan directorial is all set to release on June 14, 2024. While fans are excited to watch the film, he is also busy shooting for upcoming projects. Having become one of the most sought-after actors, of his generation, in the Hindi entertainment industry, he seems to be also reading other scripts and discussing new projects with well-known filmmakers. According to a recent report by the Free Press Journal, he is in talks with Sooraj Barjatya for a film that was initially pitched to Salman Khan.

Yes, you read that right! It is being heavily reported that Barjatya is set to make Kartik Bollywood’s new ‘Prem,’ a trademark name held by Khan for many years. Quoting a Pinkvilla report, the media publication stated that the filmmaker has approached the actor with a project that was earlier touted as his reunion film with the 58-year-old actor. For those who don’t remember, the director had announced ‘Prem Ki Shaadi,’ as his yet another collaboration with Salman. However, the film was reportedly shelved, after being delayed for over a year, as he was not keen on doing a romantic film. FPJ further reports that while Kartik the 33-year-old seems to have bagged the opportunity to work with the Hum Saath Saath Hain filmmaker, it is unclear if he has bagged the role of Prem in Prem Ki Shaadi or if they are in talks for a completely different movie. The report adds that the project is still in talks and that Barhatya feels the Sonu Ki Titu Ki Sweety actor has it in him to become the new-age Prem, and portray innocence on-screen just like Khan had once done. The film is supposed to be set against the backdrop of nuclear families in the modern days. Kartik is expected to sign the film after the release of Chandu Champion. Fans are eagerly waiting for the filmmaker and the actor to officially announce their collaboration.

On the work front, Kartik Aaryan also has Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, Aashiqui 3, and Captain India in his pipeline.
