Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut is known for her outspokenness and she frequently expresses her candid views on a wide range of topics, including politics and the entertainment industry. Recently, she shared her perspective on the India-Bharat renaming controversy, a topic that has stirred discussions for several days. Various reactions have emerged regarding this change. On the other hand, Kangana reflected on her past, revealing that during her youth, she would alter her attire to avoid appearing typically Indian. According to a Hindustan Times report, the 36-year old shares that in the past, she aimed to appear as anything but Indian. Consequently, she often dressed in shorts and western attire. This choice was influenced by the perception of India or Bharat as a economically disadvantaged nation during that time. However, Kangana has since undergone a transformation and now takes pride in her Indian identity and openly embraces her culture. The diva says she loves to wear saree and other ethnic outfits now as they make her look more graceful. During her recent visit to the New Parliament session, the Chandramukhi 2 actress was questioned about the nation's name change from India to Bharat. The actress stated that she has no objections to the name India. However, she now prefers to refer to the country as Bharat. Kangana explained that the name India had been adopted by the opposition alliance, which included members facing corruption allegations.

Kangana Ranaut awaits the release of Chandramukhi 2 with Raghava Lawrence which is slated to hit theatres on September 28. The actress will be seen as an Air Force pilot in Tejas that heads for October release. She will be seen playing former Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in her directorial venture Emergency.
