Actor and musician Diljit Dosanjh has been reaching heights of success with his versatile performances, soulful music, and performances at various international music festivals. Having become a trending topic of discussion after his last film Amar Singh Chamkila, which left everyone in awe of his acting skills, he recently opened up about singing the hit track ‘Naina’ in Tabu, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and Kriti Sanon starrer Crew. For those who don’t know, he essayed the role of Customs Officer Jaiveer 'Jai' Singh.

In an interaction with Raj Shamani, on his podcast, Diljit expressed how he finds it challenging to make Hindi songs as he has always spoken Punjabi. His hit track from the Rajesh A Krishnan directorial after, producer Rhea Kapoor pursued him for over a year. He explained, “It’s not like I am singing Hindi songs and the whole of India is listening to me. The 40-year-old musician went on to share that he cannot make Hindi songs by himself and credited Sonam Kapoor’s sister for asking for an update on the song every 10 days so that he could make it happen. Quoted by the Free Press Journal, the Good Newwz actor said, “I told her I could not make songs for Bollywood; I didn’t know how to do it, but she pursued me for a year. That time I was working on an album and she would ask me every 10 days where was the song. On the work front, Diljit Dosanjh is currently enjoying the success of his two recently released movies Crew, and a biopic based on the life of Amar Singh Chamkila, co-starring Parieeti Chopra. While the first movie released in theatres, the Imtiaz Ali directorial is streaming on Netflix. He will be next seen in Jatt & Juliet 3, co-starring Neeru Bajwa.
