Sushant Singh Rajput was one of the most loved and talented actors in Hindi cinema. In 2020, he left everyone heartbroken with his tragic demise as he was reportedly found hanging in his apartment in Bandra. A few weeks before he died, the actor was trying to get in touch with filmmaker Anurag Kashyap but he refused to talk to SSR. Yes, you read that right! In a recent interview, Anurag revealed that he gets ‘pangs of guilt’ for not talking to Sushant a few weeks before his demise.
In a recent interview with showsha, Anurag revealed why he refused collaboration with the late actor. While talking about his past spat with Abhay Deol, the director mentioned Sushant “ghosted” him for big films. Kashyap was quoted as saying, “And the day the unfortunate incident happened of SSR, I felt so bad. Three weeks prior to that somebody was trying to reach out because he wanted to talk, and I was like, ‘No, he ghosted me, I don’t want to talk’. You get pangs of guilt. The Gangs of Wasseypur director also spoke about his fight with Abhay and said, “For example, that whole spat between me and Abhay. Somebody was doing an article about why a very good actor like Abhay is no longer in the movies, and I spoke about my experiences, something that happened 13 years ago. I didn’t need to say it publicly.”
Meanwhile, Anurag is currently gearing up for the release of his next project ‘Almost Pyaar With DJ Mohabbat’ that stars Alaya F and Karan Mehta. The film is slated to hit the theatres on February 3, 2023.
