For all those who were eagerly waiting to see
the song Gacchi from Mahesh Manjerekar’s FU- Friendship Unlimited which has
been sung by Salman Khan, here’s good news. The song from FU- Friendship
Unlimited is out and it features Kashmira Shah in a scintillating avatar.
If the tune of this song is reminding you of the
iconic number- Panchi Banu Udti Phiru, then let us tell you that it’s an
official recreation of the cult song from Chori Chori (1956).
Reportedly, Salman Khan recorded the song in 45 minutes only. While talking
about Salman Khan to a section of media, music director of the song, Vishal
Mishra had said, “Salman’s grasping power is great. I was amazed when he
completed the recording of the song, Gacchi, in 45 minutes flat.”
The movie is directed by renowned
actor-director Mahesh Manjrekar and stars Sairat fame actor Akash Thosar in the
lead.
The film is based on the four friends and
reportedly, Madhuri Desai, Sata Majrekar and Sanskruti Balgude will also be
seen in this film along with Akash.
This will be Aakash’s second film after Sairat.
Sairat became a cult film in Marathi cinema, the young crowd loved it and it
has been a dream come true for Akash Thosar. The film was made on a low budget
of Rs 4 crore and later went on to become the highest grossing Marathi film of
2016 with a box-office collection of Rs 60 crore approximately.
Mahesh Manjrekar and Salman Khan go back way
long. They have done films like Jai Ho, Dabangg, Ready, Bodyguard and Wanted
together. Salman Khan attended an event along with Mahesh Manjrekar, where he
mentioned that he will be singing a Marathi song for the first time in the
latter’s next directorial FU-Friendship Unlimited.
Mahesh had said, “We are friends beyond our
professional commitments. I respect Salman Khan a lot.”
