Former Miss Universe Sushmita Sen is a warrior in every sense; the beauty queen turned actress has set several examples for her fans how to live life on their own terms. Sushmita’s latest YouTube had a major revelation of her suffering from a certain disease, which though initially bogged her down, she later rose up like a phoenix and gained victory over it. All thanks to this certain form of fitness and her positive attitude towards life, which helped it happen.

The actress in her latest YT video revealed of being diagnosed with Addison’s disease – which affects the body’s adrenal glands located on top of the kidney in 2014. Though she felt that she is losing the battle, she learned a form of fitness, nunchaku workout, which helped her immune system to bounce back in action, thus helping her recover from it. Post which the actress who was on steroids and other substitutes, bid goodbye to all of them leading a healthy life since 2019.

The actress also thanked her teacher who helped her in this fight against Addison. She penned a long note on her YouTube channel, but before that, she penned an Instagram post which read, “Had to bring the journey & the #nunchaku back for #youtube LINK IN BIO I love you guys!!! #duggadugga” The post also carried a picture of the actress during her nunchaku session.


The diva has remained away from the silver screen for a long time now but is expected to return to the entertainment biz with her digital outing. Sushmita will be soon seen in a web series titled, Aarya.
