Vivek Oberoi Tweets A Nasty GIF On India’s World Cup Exit; Gets Trolled Massively
Post India’s exit from World Cup 2019, Vivek Oberoi posted a meme on social media and he has been massively trolled for it
Vivek Oberoi is becoming an easy troll target of late, thanks to his posts on social media. This time, he landed himself in trouble for posting a nasty meme on India’s exit from World Cup semi-finals against New Zealand. India was on top of the charts and the expectations were at peak when India and New Zealand were fighting it out for a spot in the finals.
Obviously, the whole of India expected us to win, but fate had other plans and we lost out to New Zealand. Disheartened cricket lovers took to social media to express their angst and sadness, but amidst all of it, Vivek Oberoi decided to put up something nasty and hilarious on social media. He put up a GIF with the caption, “This is what happened to Indian fans in the #WC semi finals! #CWC19 #WorldCupSemiFinal #INDvsNZ #indiavsNewzealand”.
In the GIF, an Indian fan is seen walking down the street thinking a lady walking towards him is about to hug him. Instead, the lady goes on to hug another man walking behind him. This particular meme didn’t go well with netizens and he got heavily trolled. We bring you some of the troll comments right below:
One user wrote, "Mr Oberoi, be mature otherwise people will always take you lightly ."
Then, another one wrote, “Vivek Oberoi is perfect for biopic of Sanjay Manjrekar.”
Then, someone even took a dig at his past affair with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and tweeted, “Girl is Aish, Abhishek in Black suit and blue t shirt wala is Vivek Oberoi himself.”
Here are a few more tweets:
Not too long ago, the actor had made a goof-up on Twitter when he accidentally promoted Salman Khan’s Bharat and then deleted it later. Prior to this, he made headlines when he shared a meme taking a dig at his love affair with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and also involving Salman Khan and Abhishek Bachchan in it. He got massively trolled and criticized for it and eventually pulled off the tweet and apologised.
