Vivek Oberoi Starrer PM Narendra Modi Biopic Trailer Goes Missing From YouTube
Troubles don't seem to leave the back of Vivek Oberoi starrer PM Narendra Modi biopic. Now, the trailer has vanished from YouTube and Google
We think it’s going to take a while for makers of PM Narendra Modi to sort out the mess that has been surrounding their film from the onset. After the Election Commission stalled the film’s release, now a new hurdle comes up their way.
The trailer of the film has gone missing from YouTube. Yes, unfortunately if you were amongst those people who didn’t watch the trailer yet, then you won’t be able to have a dekko at it now. So, it’s nowhere to be seen on Google or YouTube. We tried searching for the official trailer online and couldn’t find it.
Possibly, this has happened after the Election Commission ordered for a stay on the film’s release. In its order, the EC had mentioned, "any poster or publicity material concerning any such certified content, which either depicts a candidate (including prospective) for the furtherance (or purported to further) of electoral prospect, directly or indirectly, shall not be put to display in electronic media in the area where MCC (model code of conduct) is in operation. (sic)"
After this, producer Sandip Ssingh moved to Supreme Court to challenge EC’s decision. The SC has asked Election Commission to watch the Modi biopic and then take a call on it by April 22. The decision needs to be handed over to the Court in a sealed cover.
The PM Modi biopic was scheduled to release on April 11, but the release was stalled by the EC. Now, producer Sandip Ssingh told IANS, "We are in a lot of stress. The team is losing confidence, but we hope and pray that we get justice and we release our film. For the first time it has happened that a filmmaker has to go through this."
