Vikrant Massey REVEALS Deepika Padukone Was Paid More Than Him In Chhapaak As He Addresses Pay Disparity In Bollywood
Vikrant Massey has proved his mettle as a talented actor in Bollywood. His impressive body of work speaks volumes about his versatility. But do you know Vikrant is not paid as much as his female co-stars? Yes, you read that right! In a recent interview, he spoke about pay disparity in Bollywood and revealed that Deepika Padukone was paid more than him in Chhapaak. Massey pointed out that most of his female co-stars have been paid more than him but he has never made a fuss about it.

Speaking with Etimes, the Haseen Dillruba actor said, “Bahar ke jo so-called 'A-listers' he woh bhi platforms pe films kar rahe he. Humare 'so-called A-listers' he yaha ke, superstars he, pichle 15-20 saalon se TV pe kaam kar rahe he. Most of my female co-stars have been paid more than me, I have never made a fuss about it. My big body of work does not give me as much money as you know, Deepika Padukone, of course.” ALSO READ: Balika Vadhu Actor Vikrant Massey On Returning To Television After 8 Years With A Historical Docu-Series: ‘Feels Like Home Coming, Really Excited’-EXCLUSIVE

Adding to this, Vikrant asserted that he is very much comfortable in doing things he feel about. “I am comfortable in doing things I feel about or strongly about in social media... There have been days when I have taken a few comments about me, my family, my wife... to heart and I haven't been able to sleep that day,” he further explained.

On the professional front, Vikrant was recently seen in Pawan Kripalani’s directorial ‘Gaslight’ with Sara Ali Khan and Chitrangada Singh. The film was released on Disney+ Hotstar and it failed to impress the audience. He will next be seen with Taapsee Pannu in a sequel to his crime thriller Haseen Dilruba.
