Vicky Kaushal Makes His First Ever Roti For The Indian Army
Uri: The Surgical Strike star Vicky Kaushal shares a picture of his first ever roti and is glad he made it for the Indian Army
Vicky’s film Uri: The Surgical Strike has been one of the most loved films of 2019. The film invoked a sense of pride in the hearts of every Indian and made an impact post its release. Cherished by all, the film sung the victory of the heroes who fight for the country every day at the borders, putting their lives at stake. About today, Vicky Kaushal shares pictures on social media of him making his first ever roti with an army officer.
On Kargil Vijay Diwas, after six months of its release, Aditya Dhar’s directorial was re-released a few days ago in theatres. Taking a step in the right direction, the government has also decided to host free press shows for students in 500 theatres in Maharashtra. Vicky Kaushal has spent days with the Indian army at the Indo-China border of Tawang, Arunachal Pradesh. The actor who respects the army and cherishes the work they do, shared some pictures on his Instagram of him making roti’s. While Vicky is spotted rolling roti’s, it seems, it’s the actors first roti ever. Sharing the pictures, Vicky’s post captioned, “The first ever roti I made... glad it was for the army.” Equally thrilled about his experience, the actor is glad his first roti was for the Indian Army.
The Sanju actor has also shared pictures of him playing a game of volleyball with the Army champs. Vicky Kaushal’s film Uri: The Surgical Strike was based on the Indian Army lead covert operation against a group of militants who attacked a base in Uri, Kashmir in 2016 and killed many soldiers.
On the work front, the actor will be next seen in Karan Johar's horror series, Bhoot: Part 1: The Haunted Ship co-starring Bhumi Pednekar. Simultaneously, Vicky has also bagged Karan Johar’s multi-starrer and magnum opus Takht which will boast of some A-listers naming Kareena Kapoor Khan, Ranveer Singh, Janhvi Kapoor, Anil Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. Having many films in his kitty, Kaushal will star in Shoojit Sircar's Sardar Udham Singh, Meghna Gulzar's next where he will be essaying the role of Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw and Aditya Dhar's Ashwatthama, an action-based superhero film set in modern times.
