Maharashtra is among the worst hit states in times of Coronavirus. While a 15-day curfew has been imposed by the Government to curb the spread of the virus, it seems to be a long journey until the situation comes under control. Amidst this, the film industry has also come to a halt. No shoots are taking place currently. But the vanity vans used at film sets are at work. The owner of vanity vans who provides service to films like Ranveer Singh's Cirkus, Alia Bhatt's Gangubai Kathiawadi and Akshay Kumar's Raksha Bandhan has decided to give vanity vans to Mumbai Police.

To Etimes, Ketan Rawal, the owner of vanity vans said, "I have diverted vans from Rohit Shetty's Cirkus, Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Gangubai Kathiawadi, and Anand L Rai's Raksha Bandhan in service of the Mumbai police.” He further added, "I have a large number of vanity vans in service of the Mumbai police, they are the frontline workers; last year we offered it to the women officials who are field duty and needed to rest, use washrooms while doing their duties and of course change before going home.''

Ketan Rawal is also doing his bit by providing ration to the Gujarati theatres artists who have suffered tremendously due to the lockdown. "There are no plays being staged since last year so I am doing my bit by providing ration and other help to these theatre artists in these trying times," he said.

Due to the sudden surge in Coronavirus cases, no shoots are being held nor will any film make it to the theatres in near future. This appears to be the best possible use of vanity vans.  (Also Read: With Second Wave Of COVID-19, Priyanka Chopra BEGS People To Follow Safety Guideline To Ease Pressure From Medical Fraternity)
