Urmila Matondkar Confirms To Be Back On Big Screen Real Soon; Says She Has Been 'Looking Forward To It'
Urmila Matondkar spreading her wings took a leap in a new arena of politics in 2019, but the stellar actress is in no mood to give up on first love of her life, acting. The actress in conversation with ETimes TV has confirmed of getting back on screen real soon. As per reports the actress has signed a web series and about to face the camera if the COVID-19 pandemic would not have gripped the world. Thus, the shooting schedule was pushed ahead. 

Now the actress is waiting for the project to take off, she said, “Last April, I was supposed to be a part of a web series, whose script I had absolutely loved. We had scheduled the dates, but due to the lockdown, it was pushed ahead. Later, the shoot got postponed further as the lockdown was extended. The last I heard is that the project is now stuck due to some permission issues. So, I am just waiting to see what happens next.”

She added further, “Frankly, I don’t even know whether the project will take off now. It would have been something great. I was really looking forward to it.” 


Also the actress elaborated until and unless something extraordinary comes in her share, she won’t sign anything just for the heck of it. Urmila shares, “When I look back, I have had such a versatile career. So, unless and until one is going to take it a notch higher, I don’t see any interest or any point in taking up a project. I can’t be doing things just for the heck of it, and which is why I was really gung-ho about the digital project. But I am sure that if not that, then something else which is great will come up. Also she wants to assure that whatever she signs should not only excite her but also her fans. “I have promised myself that the project, which I take on, will be something exciting not just for me, but for my fans and the audience as well. There’s so much content out there on all these platforms that it doesn’t make sense to be a part of something mundane,” said Urmila. The actress was last seen in a special number in late actor Irrfan Khan starrer Blackmail.
