Two Back-to-back Flops, Hero And Katti Batti, Drive Nikhil To A Numerologist's Door
Here's the latest update from the world of Bollywood. We bet you wouldn't want to miss this. Read on for details... He comes out saying: Spell me Nikkhil now, not Nikhil
The film industry is a funny place. Ekta Kapoor got stuck with the letter 'K' after the success of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Nikhil Advani has turned to soothsayers after two back-to-back failures.
A friend of the director told SpotboyE that the filmmaker spent the past month in deep introspection, even inviting a few film buffs over to try and decipher what went wrong with both his recent ventures- his Salman Khan produced Hero and Aamir Khan ghost-edited Katti Batti.
Eventually, when none of the explanations made any sense, the director is believed to have consulted a numerologist on the recommendation of a friend.
Revealed the friend, "He was advised to use Nikkhil (instead of the regular Nikhil) in all his future film-related material and documents. He is hoping that along with more focus on content, astrology can turn things around for him."
If you notice, the director's credits have 'kk' in the Airlift teaser, something that wasn't the case during Katti Batti or Hero. "To suffer two flops in a span of 7 days is unprecedented. Just like success, failure too makes you believe in things like these. And one must be allowed to keep up the faith," his friend defended.

We texted Nikhil (or Nikkhil?) to ask why he added an additional 'k', but he chose not to respond.

When contacted, numerologist Sanjay Jummani who has fixed the extra 'k' in NIkhil's name, confirmed, "It is obvious why he came to me for help. He came to me looking very defeated. I immediately told him that it's because his name, when spelt Nikhil, adds up to 'Shani's' number which isn't productive."
Does Jumaani feel that there will be a change in the director's fate of films hereafter at the box-office? He shot back, "When you go to a doctor, he fixes your problems, right? Nikkhil can rest assured now."
Well, Airlift certainly looks promising from the promos. Jumaani's acid test is on January 22 when the Akshay Kumar-NImrat Kaur starrer will hit the theatres.
