Twinkle Khanna On ‘Transformation From Hot Chick To Cow’ After First Pregnancy; Actress Recalls Hubby Akshay Kumar Reaction
Twinkle Khanna recently opened up about her first pregnancy and revealed how her husband Akshay Kumar’s reaction made her aware of her transformation
Known for her unapologetic personality, former Bollywood actress-turned-author Twinkle Khanna never shies away from expressing herself. She often opens up about her life experiences, personal as well as professional, leaving netizens in awe of her revelations. With changing times, many actresses have openly spoken about motherhood and how it has brought a change in their perspective. In a recent column for The Times Of India, Twinkle opened up about the moment she realised that she had transformed ‘from a hot chick to a cow’.
Having tied the knot with Akshay Kumar in 2001, the couple welcomed their son Aarav in 2002 and daughter Nitara in 2012. In her column for the leading daily, Twinkle mentioned that her initiation into motherhood took place in 2002 when her son was born. Comparing what motherhood meant when she was a kid to what she is like now, she added, “My initiation into motherhood began in 2002 when my son was born. Talking about the challenges of having a baby, she wrote that women must breastfeed their babies, but should not have ‘droopy breasts’. Quoted by the Hindustan Times, the 50-year-old author added, “We must ensure they are entertained, mingle with the right peers, and praise their crooked drawings like we are courtiers bowing to the emperor with no clothes. All this should be accomplished by a method called ‘gentle parenting’, unlike our mothers who ordered us around like army colonels.”
For the unversed, Twinkle quit acting to focus on her family after she tied the knot with Akshay Kumar in 2001. She ventured into writing books and has written Mrs Funnybones (2015), The Legend Of Lakshmi Prasad (2017), and Pyjamas Are Forgiving (2018). She released her fourth book, Welcome To Paradise in 2023.
