TROUBLE CONTINUES: After Tamannaah Bhatia, Pooja Hegde Says No To John Abraham Film

On December 27, we brought to you the story that after Tamannaah Bhatia declined the offer of starring in a John Abraham and Manoj Bajpayee starrer, makers of the Nikkhil Advani production approached Pooja Hegde. However, while she too wasn’t keen on the film, the actress was yet to give her final word.

Now, SpotboyE.com has it that Pooja has also said ‘No’ to the makers.

Says a source, “Milap met Pooja a couple of times and discussed the project for long, but things didn’t work out between the two and the actress has politely declined the offer. The reason behind her refusal is not known. ”

Goes without saying, the film’s team will have to spend more time looking for the heroine of the film, which in turn will add to their woes – the venture doesn’t have a producer yet. Word is, the hunt for the leading lady has been going on since quite some time- but in vain.

This is not the first time Pooja has turned a project down. Earlier, the actress had said ‘No’ to Faruk Kabir’s next opposite Sooraj Pancholi.

Talking of the project’s primary roadblock of getting a funder, SpotboyE.com had told you that Milap had first approached Bhushan Kumar, but after he sensed the latter’s dismissal, he headed to the T-Series’ head honcho’s former employee Ajay Kapoor. However, Ajay is yet to embrace Nikkhil on it.

Coincidentally, Ajay parted ways with Bhushan rather acrimoniously.

Our well-placed sources tell us that the film in question is not appealing to the production sector in terms of its cost. Nikkhil Advani (the producer) is asking for nearly Rs 35 crore, and most production houses find the film as commercially not viable.

Is this project going up in smoke?
