Tokyo Paralympics 2021: As Sumit Antil Wins Gold, Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Ananya Panday And Others Applaud His Victory
India was on a roll during the Tokyo Olympics 2020 and now, Paralympics 2021 too. Javelin thrower Sumit Antil has set a World Record at Tokyo Paralympics as he clinched a gold medal, thus securing second gold for India. However, today is a historic moment for the Indians as two para-athletes bagged a gold medal on the same day. Avani Lekhara also bagged gold in the Paralympics. As Sumit Antil won gold in Tokyo Paralympics, celebs like Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Anil Kapoor, Ananya Panday and more took to their social media account and congratulated him for his big win.

Ajay Devgn who has always applauded the players who have bagged a medal, wrote, “Congratulations to Sumit Antil for a record-breaking golden throw in #Paralympics. Yet another proud moment for all of us. #SumitAntil #TokyoParalympics #Tokyo2020” On the other hand, Akshay who also keeps acknowledging their win on social media, tweeted, “Yet another #Gold for India! Heartiest congratulations #SumitAntil on the record-breaking throw What a brilliant performance. We are so proud of you.  #Paralympics #Tokyo2020.”

Meanwhile, after winning a gold, the President Of India, Ram Nath Kovind tweeted, “Sumit Antil's historic performance in javelin throw at the #Paralympics is a moment of great pride for the country. Congratulations on winning the gold and setting a new world record. Every Indian is elated to hear the national anthem at the podium. You're a true champion!”

While Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi said on Twitter, “Our athletes continue to shine at the #Paralympics! The nation is proud of Sumit Antil’s record-breaking performance in the Paralympics.
