Tiger Shroff To Star In Indian Remake Of Sylvester Stallone’s Rambo
Tiger Shroff will step into the shoes of Hollywood icon Sylvester Stallone in the Indian remake of Rambo. Bang Bang director Siddharth Anand will direct the film

For the last few
days, there were murmurs in the industry that Tiger Shroff will star in the
Bollywood retelling of Sylvester Stallone’s cult hit Rambo.
Now Tiger himself
has confirmed the news to Hollywood Reporter. The film will be directed by Bang
Bang director Siddarth Anand.
M! Capital
Ventures, Original Entertainment, Impact Films and Siddharth Anand Pictures
will be producing the film.
"Being a
martial artist and a huge action movie buff since childhood, this all seems
very surreal, and I'm very grateful for this opportunity. By no means do I
believe I can replace the legendary Sylvester Stallone; however, I do feel that
somehow this is something I've been preparing for since childhood," said
Tiger.
The film revolves
around the story of a solider, who is the last surviving member of an elite
covert unit. He returns home to find out about the ongoing war within the
country and faces the enemy upfront and causes them the maximum damage.
Siddharth said,
“Rambo is one of the most iconic action blockbuster films from my generation. I
grew up looking up to heroes such as Stallone, and in a time where the Indian
industry is lacking action characters of Rambo's caliber, this is a perfect
time to introduce Tiger in this role."
"I cannot
wait to work with Tiger on this film. He has that aura about him, a power and
vulnerability that will make him the next iconic action hero of our time,” he
further added.
The principal photography
for the film will begin in February. The film will be releasing in late
February 2018.
