Vicky Kaushal and Sara Ali Khan starrer The Immortal Ashwatthama has been making headlines ever since the first poster of the film was revealed by the actor. Directed by Aditya Dhar, fans are excited about this superhero film. For the uninitiated, The Immortal Ashwatthama is a modern-day superhero film based on King Ashwatthama from The Mahabharata. As per reports, the film is said to be one of the costliest Hindi films. Vicky and Sara will be seen sharing screen space on the big screen for the first time.

Both Vicky Kaushal and Sara Ali Khan have been preparing for their respective roles in the film over the last few months. The duo is learning new forms of acting and doing their best. As per a report in Pinkvilla, the movie will be shot in UAE, India and Iceland. 'The film goes on the floors in September with a five-month marathon schedule. The idea is to wrap up the film by January 2022 and is a post-production heavy film, invest time on the edit and post-production of the film. A tentative shoot schedule has been prepared,' revealed a source close to the development.

The makers will be shooting the film in UAE, India and Iceland. As per a report in Pinkvilla, the source further revealed, 'The initial plan was to shoot extensively in multiple European countries however, with so much uncertainty around the Covid scenario, the makers have zeroed in on UAE as their primary location with India.' It further revealed, 'They will be flying down to Iceland for a brief schedule. While the recce in Gulf is done, a team is expected to air dash to Iceland soon for a recce.'

The film will be released in 2023. Earlier, Vicky shared the first poster of the film and wrote, 'Another one!!!
