The Bhansali-kjo War Is Over!
After fighting over the casting of Ranveer and Deepika for their respective films, the two filmmakers made up at a recent bash
Two of Bollywood’s biggest filmmakers, Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Karan Johar were at loggerheads with each other over the last nine months.
Fortunately, they put the past behind them and called for truce at a recent bash held by Deepika Padukone. Eye-witnesses from the party said that when they found each other face to face, they just smiled at one another and the tension disappeared. Sanjay and Karan then were by each others side as they talked about films and their past differences.
For those whove come in late, the two filmmakers were always on friendly terms. However, things turned ugly when Sanjay roped in Ranveer Singh and Deepika for Bajirao Mastani last year. Trouble was that Karan was eyeing the same couple as the lead pair of his ambitious film, Shuddhi, after original leads Hrithik Roshan and Kareena Kapoor Khan opted out.
The Student Of The Year director did not take kindly to this poaching and a war of words ensued.
In an interview, Karan had said that Bhansali had gone into “a space of negativity and darkness”. Bhansali, on his part, had said that he was hurt that someone, whom he considered a friend, had spoken ill about him publicly.
But now, the two have decided to let bygones be bygones and start afresh.
