Thappad Director Anubhav Sinha Wants To Give Approval To Riteish Deshmukh's Plant-Based Mutton, Says: ‘Mutton Ka Approval Hum Karenge’
In case you are unaware about it, Genelia D'Souza and Riteish Deshmukh have recently turned entrepreneurs as they have started with Imagine Meats which is betting on the plant-based meat trend. The couple who had turned vegan three years ago has recently started with plant-based meat. For the unversed, plant-based foods are basically products made entirely from plant ingredients but replicate the taste and smell of animal meat. As they are gearing up for their new venture, filmmaker Anubhav Sinha told Deshmukh that he will be giving approval for the mutton dishes.

While sharing a tweet on the same, the Thappad director said that he will look for Mutton while asking the Housefull actor to look for Chicken. His tweet read, "Mutton ka approval hum karenge. Chicken wagairah Tum dekh Lena." Replying to his tweet, Riteish commented, "Done my friend- Plant based Mutton is really yummy.

Talking about their Imagine Meats, TOI carried a statement where Genelia said, “We want Imagine Meats to be the choice for anybody seeking the taste of meat, without the guilt of environmental and public health impacts.” While in another statement carried by Business Insider, Riteish was quoted saying, "Let me be honest - there have been times when I have craved the taste and indulgence of meat. With plant based meats around, I am a much happier vegetarian now. I would rather just imagine meat."
