Thank You Crime Branch For Saving Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, Says Akshay Kumar
We were the first to tell you about the intervention of Crime Branch in Toilet: Ek Prem Katha Leak Case.

Now, minutes ago, Akshay Kumar took to Twitter to thank the Crime Branch for their swift action in the case. He wrote, “The fight against piracy is critical and it’s reassuring to see the swift action taken by the Crime Branch on the unfortunate incident involving our film Toilet: Ek Prem Katha. I would like to urge friends, fans, colleagues and audiences to please say no to piracy. Thank you all for your support (sic).”

The Crime Branch had sent out anti-piracy squads so that no copy of the film finds its way into the illegal DVD market along with carrying out investigations.

For those who've come in late, SpotboyE.com broke the story that Akshay Kumar-Bhumi Pednekar starrer Toilet: Ek Prem Katha had leaked in a pen drive, which was in possession of choreographer-turned-director Remo D’Souza’s gym trainer.

Talking about the leak, Remo told us, “My building’s gym trainer, Vithal, came up to me and said that he had a pen drive which has the first half of Toilet: Ek Prem Katha. I thought he was joking, but he insisted that I believe him. I immediately told him to bring it to me.”

Remo added: “I opened up the pen drive and almost fell off from my chair. It was not the first half, but the entire second half. This implied that if this pen drive had started doing the rounds, it would have created havoc. I am a filmmaker and I know how the world comes crashing down if anybody’s film from my fraternity is exposed before it hits theatres.”

Remo also revealed that he tried calling up Akshay Kumar but could not reach him. (Akshay was in London shooting for Reema Kagti’s Gold). The choreographer-turned-director eventually handed the pen drive to the director, Shree Narayan Singh.

Well, the makers of Toilet: Ek Prem Katha dodged a bullet!

Stay tuned to SpotboyE.com as we bring an explosive story on Toilet: Ek Prem Katha leak in a few minutes from now.
