Ajay Devgn was in Kolkata to promote his upcoming period-drama Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior. Well, when in Kolkata, how can one not relish on rasgullas, sandesh and more? But Ajay definitely went overboard and the side effect of it is that he gained 4 kilos
When in Kolkata, do what Kolkatians do! Relish on sweets and be sweet like them. Ajay Devgn who recently touched down Kolkata to promote his upcoming film Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior seems to have savoured the delicacies like there is no tomorrow. However, too much of anything has its own side effects and it seems, Ajay too had to face some. He revealed that he put on four kilos in four days as he hogged on Kolkata sweets so much.
Ajay was quoted saying, "I am back in Kolkata after 13-odd years. I shot here for Rituparno Ghosh's Raincoat and Mani Ratnam's Yuva. It feels great to be back in the City of Joy. I have gained four kilos in these four days and I blame it on Kolkata sweets!." He is in Kolkata after almost a decade and will also be shooting his sports drama Maidaan in the city. The more time he spends in Kolkata, the more time he has to satiate his sweet tooth. We hope he is keeping a check on his weight though.
Tanhaji: The Unsung Hero will be Ajay Devgn's 100th film and the actor spoke about it too at the event. He was quoted saying, "Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior is very close to my heart and I’m happy it marks my 100th film. But trust me, I was not aware of this until my director pointed it out on the film sets. We are trying to make the film a visual treat for the audience and I’m looking forward to everyone watching it. Even when I’m on my 100th film, I feel nervous and it seems like it is my first film."
The period-drama which is based on the Battle of Sinhagad fought between Marathas and Mughals has Saif Ali Khan, Kajol, Jagapathi Babu, Pankaj Tripathi and Sharad Kelkar in pivotal roles apart from Ajay Devgn.
