Takht: Budget Of Karan Johar’s Multi-Starrer Breaks Brahmastra Record; KJo To Shell Rs 250 Cr For His Big Film?
Filmmaker Karan Johar is not leaving any stone unturned as he grabs the director's chair after a gap of three long years with Takht. His last directorial venture Ae Dil Hai Mushkil starring Anushka Sharma, Ranbir Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan failed to create magic on the screen but it seems Takht won't follow the trend. As per reports, this multi-starrer is heard to be made on a massive budget, which one can’t even think of. Also it will get the filmmaker out of his comfort zone.

As per reports in Bollywood Hungama, this Karan Johar’s directorial venture is being made on the budget of Rs. 250 crore. Till date, it was his previous ventures such as Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham and Agneepath which were made on a supremely high budget, but with Takht being produced under the Dharma banner, it is said to be breaking all the records. A source was quoted saying, “Every star Anil Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Bhumi Pednkar and Vicky Kaushal, is being paid his or her market price. They’d have happily taken a cut for Karan’s sake. But Karan insisted on paying them their market price.” ALSO READ: Takht: Karan Johar Questioned On Islamophobia; Filmmaker States 'This Isn’t A Story That I Wrote, History Wrote'

Meanwhile, where Brahmastra is set to release on December 4, 2020, Takht will only release next year.
