Here’s another Bollywood couple that has gone splitsville.
If latest reports are to be believed Swara Bhasker and her writer boyfriend,
Himanshu Sharma, who had been dating for 5 years, have decided to part ways
amicably. The Veere Di Wedding, actress had started dating the National
Award-winning writer while working on Aanand L Rai’s 2015 Kangana Ranaut and R
Madhavan-starrer Tanu Weds Manu Returns. The duo has collaborated on two more
films, Tanu Weds Manu and Raanjhanaa, featuring Sonam Kapoor and Dhanush.
According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, Swara and Himanshu have decided to break-up mutually. A source close to the couple told Mirror, “The break-up was amicable and happened recently after much deliberation. They are still on talking terms and their respective families are aware of their decision,” the source added.
Swara and Himanshu had been to a European holiday post the release of Shashanka Ghosh’s Veere Di Wedding, which co-starred Sonam Kapoor, Kareena
Kapoor and Shikha Talsania
Swara had earlier told us, “I fight a lot with Himanshu
(Sharma, boyfriend, writer), like for one during Raanjhanaa where I kept
telling him that he didn't give any space to Zoya's world and ended up making
stalking look cute. But at least she does not surrender, which is better than
most of our Bollywood films." When we had asked her about their marriage plans, she had said, "Himanshu se hi pooch lo."
Earlier, Swara had spoken about her relationship with
Himanshu and had said, “Yes, we are dating and are happy and committed. Now you
know why Himanshu is my favourite dialogue writer. There are no marriage plans
right now. We are both busy with our respective careers. To top that, I, for
one, am too broke to get married." Himanshu too had confirmed the same and
said, “Yes, we are dating each other. We're in a happy space and currently,
both of us are concentrating solely on our careers. We haven't thought about
marriage as yet, but when the time comes, we will surely take the leap."
