Swara Bhasker Bashes South African Comedian Trevor Noah, Says, “War Isn’t Funny Or Entertaining, Human Lives Were Lost”
Swara Bhasker has slammed South African comedian Trevor Noah for his racist remarks about India-Pakistan
The Pulwama attack caused major disturbance in India, and our country subsequently carried out a surgical strike in Pakistan a few days back. Now, the popular South African comedian Trevor Noah poked digs at the entire scenario.
On Comedy Central, he cracked jokes as he said, “I hope India and Pakistan don't go to war. But, if they did go, it would probably be the most entertaining war of all times." He further enacted how the situation would unfold by depicting how Indians would fight back in complete filmy style and said, “Another dance number?” His comments irked Swara Bhasker and she gave him a befitting response on Twitter.
Swara wrote, “@Trevornoah 1. War isn’t funny or entertaining. 2. Hindi is not gibberish. Ur stereotype of indo- pak is ignorant & racist. 3. Ur set smacks of essentialism & a patronising generalisation & is v #FirstWorld 4. Human lives were lost & at stake. SO disappointing! @ComedyCentral”

Just yesterday, the actress slammed Pakistani actress Veena Malik for insulting IAF Pilot Abhinandan Varthaman. In fact recently, she even did a video whipping trolls left, right and centre.
