Sushmita Sen’s fans went gaga as videos of her performing the Dhunuchi Dance with her elder daughter Renee
Bollywood actress Sushmita Sen is all set to return with the third season of her web series Aarya. As she and her fans await the release of the show, the actress was recently spotted seeking blessings at a Durga Puja pandal in Mumbai with her parents, her daughters Renee, Alisah and other family members. Draped in a pretty pink saree the actress took social media by storm as she was captured performing the Dhunuchi dance with her daughter.
In the videos shared by the paparazzo Viral Bhayani, she is seen performing the Dhunuchi dance along with Renee, who was draped in a red saree. For those who don’t know the dance is performed by women to thank Goddess Durga. It is performed by holding a dhunuchi which contains burning coconut husk with dhuno sprinkled on it. Netizens were quick to take to the comment section of the post to hail her for always being close to her roots despite achieving so much success. On the work front, she was last seen essaying the role of transgender activist Shreegauri Sawant in the show Taali. Directed by Ravi Jadhav, the web series follows the life of the director of Sakhi Char Chowghi, an organisation that helps trans people and people with HIV and AIDS. The show is currently streaming on Jio Cinema. On the other hand, Sushmita recently announced the third season of Aarya. Directed by Ram Madhvani, the show will premiere on November 3.
