Sushant Singh Rajput’s Viscera Report Comes Back Negative; Rules Out Presence Of Suspicious Chemicals Or Poison
Sushant Singh Rajput died by suicide on June 14, and the investigation in his suicide case is underway. Statements of people linked with the late actor are being recorded. There was outrage on social media post the actor’s demise, and many people, including a few family members of the late actor, suspected foul play. As per a report in India Today, the final post mortem report confirmed that there were no struggle marks or external injuries found on his body, and that Sushant died due to asphyxia, suffocation, because of hanging.

After the post-mortem, his viscera had been preserved and sent for further chemical analysis to JJ Hospital in Mumbai. The viscera reports came on Tuesday evening, and as per a report in Zee News, the viscera report was found negative for any kind of suspicious chemicals or poison. Meanwhile,  statements of 28 people have been recorded so far by Mumbai Police in Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case. Sushant’s Dil Bechara co-star Sanjana Sanghi, director Mukesh Chhabra, Sushant’s rumoured girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty, Yash Raj Films' casting director Shanoo Sharma, are among those who have already recorded their statements.

IANS also reported that filmmaker Shekhar Kapur’s statement will be recorded as part of the investigation in Sushant Singh Rajput’s death. The filmmaker had indicated in his tweet that he knew the pain that Sushant was going through.


Sushant Singh Rajput was cremated at the Pawan Hans Crematorium in Mumbai, on June 15. The funeral was attended by his family members, Shraddha Kapoor, Ekta Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, Rajkummar Rao, Ranvir Shorey, among others. Sushant’s ashes were immersed in the Ganga river in Patna, by his family members.
